Calgary is Alberta's largest city, fourth largest in Canada with a young and growing diverse population. While known nationwide for the yearly Calgary Stampede festival in July, and of course it was the birthplace of The Caesar back in 1969, Calgary has a lot more to offer year round, and of course, you're only about an hour's drive from Banff National Park.
There are a few schools in Calgary that offer bartending courses. Many of them can be taken on weekdays, weeknights or weekends, depending on your schedule. They can also help you with preparing for your Proserve Licence exam.
In Alberta, ProServe certification is required for anyone over 18 in positions where liquor is provided, whether paid staff or volunteers, including owners, managers, bartenders, servers, greeters, and security staff.
